Introduction

The BreatheAmerica model represents a transformation from the traditional physician specialty model into a patient and disease centric model. The major components of the company's model grew out of work done in one of the country's leading academic medical centers that innovated and incubated a comprehensive multi-disciplinary program focused on the treatment of airway disease. BreatheAmerica's integrated model is organized to:

  • Accurately diagnose a patient during the first visit,
  • Determine the root causes, triggers and related diseases,
  • Provide an individualized treatment plan for each patient,
  • Be an exhaustive and accessible education source for patients
  • Manage their long term health.
Treatment Model

Approximately 34.1 million Americans have been diagnosed with asthma during their lifetime.

About 70% of asthmatics also have allergies.

It is estimated that the number of people with asthma will grow by more than 100 million by 2025.

The annual economic cost of asthma is $19.7 billion. Direct costs make up $14.7 billion of that total, and indirect costs such as lost productivity add another $5 billion.
