Peter B. Boggs, M.D.
Breathe America Shreveport welcomes Peter B. Boggs, M.D., formerly of Asthma Allergy Clinic. Dr. Boggs is a specialist in the evaluation and management of both children and adults with allergies, asthma, and immunodeficiency. He is certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, A Conjoint Board of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Boggs is especially interested in the care of people with allergic rhinitis, asthma, chronic cough, and food allergies.
He graduated from LSUHSC New Orleans and did a Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr.Boggs has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed publications, has presented many times at national and international meetings of allergy specialists. He has served his specialty as President of the American College of Allergists and been honored by his peers as Fellow Distinguished. He recently help write the national guidelines for the use of exhaled nitric oxide in the evaluation and management of people with asthma. Dr. Boggs and his wife have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren ranging in age from grade school to college. They enjoy visiting their children and grandchildren, and especially watching their ball games. Dr. Boggs enjoys shooting sporting clays and skeet. He and his wife are involved in Bible study groups and are looking forward to spending time in the Holy Land once again in 2013.
