A Small, but Mighty Team

The Director’s Desk
Lori Buehler, Executive Director – BreatheAmerica Columbus
Columbus is defined by its friendly and diverse people. Every day in our center we are presented with the opportunity to meet patients of different ages, personalities, and concerns, but all of them have the same desire. They want to feel good again. This is where we come in. It is our center’s mission to help people better manage their allergies, breathe easier, and experience an improved quality of life.
Our team is a small, but mighty group of individuals who are willing to do everything in our power to provide the best in care for our patients, all within a warm, welcoming, and friendly environment.
Our days are filled with entertainment from our friendly front desk staff, Laura. We are kept on schedule by our lead nurse Pat, who gives attention to every detail and truly enjoys educating patients on their diagnoses and treatment plans. And currently, three research studies are being conducted with great energy and care by our clinical research coordinator, Trish.
We are fortunate to have Dr. Pongonis Jr. as Medical Director, and our patients are consistently telling us the same thing. Dr. Pongonis cares deeply about our patients. For those of us who always have questions once we get home, he makes himself available to answer those patient questions and concerns even after the office visit. He also ensures that other physicians receive excellent reports on the patients they have referred. He is also fond of reminding his staff that he, as medical director, cannot allow us to eat burgers & fries as often as we might like.
I have the pleasure of working with a group of people who are committed to excellent patient care and to treating every patient with dignity and respect. As we grow in numbers, we will continue to keep our commitment to these values, and will continue to demonstrate integrity and excellence in our work as we strive to provide an exceptional patient experience.
