From the Front Lines
Holly Viola, Medical Assistant – BreatheAmerica Shreveport
Working for Breathe America has been very educational, and the hands on training that I have received far out paces what I’ve experienced in other positions. Working with our allergist, pulmonologists, and ear, nose, and throat doctors has been a wonderful experience. If I have ever have a question the nursing staff and physicians are always there to help and guide me. The amount of knowledge that I have obtained from the doctors and staff has been invaluable.
I love the fact that I am able to put my medical skills to use in a clinic like this. Not only am I able to practice the basics, but also a wide variety of skills that I’ve learned from the nursing staff as well. Having a variety of specialists all in one building allows me to be exposed to new and exciting treatments for different types of illnesses and aliments. When our patients come in feeling down, but leave with smiles on their faces and boasting about the outstanding treatment they’ve received, it makes me proud to be a part of the BreatheAmerica team.
Our patients are not just numbers to us, but actual people that we care for as we would our own families. As a staff we strive to provide the best experience for each of our patients, and are always willing to go the extra mile. In the short time that I have been employed by BreatheAmerica I have come to recognize just how fortunate I am to be a part of such a wonderful team that really does care about improving the quality of our patient’s lives.
